about

This album is NOT the final Green Man album. During the preparation for that, Steve and Alan roamed the highways and byways of the ancient kingdom of Lindsey from the Wash in the South to the Isle of Axholme and the Humber in the North recording on an old Zoom H4. We sketched out the form of the piece, and even recorded parts of it, but nothing was completed. The summer of the plague, 2020, the field recordings and some scribbled notes turned up. On June 24th as the cicadas in the orange trees rang metallic we set up our machines and devices, and with the sun slowly sinking over the mountains we created 'Summer Trees Dissolve'. It was recorded, edited and mixed as one long piece, but Bandcamp size limits required it to be cut into two manageable tracks, which we hope we have done sympathetically.
