about

'Χιονισμένος Μαυροπίνακας', which roughly translates as 'Snowy Blackboards' is the third volume of poetry by the Athenian poet George Kariotis (Γιωργος Καριωτης), published by Το Ανώνυμο Βιβλίο in 2017 (ISBN 978-618-5097-34-9. We had worked together on his previous volume (ep available here on Bandcamp)) and decided to do something more ambitious, partly for the book launch and partly for the fun of it. Giorgos & Temple Music selected the poems, and Giorgos read them splendidly; Temple Music then worked on backings for the voice recordings. The final track here is a long-form composition encompassing all aspects of all the recordings; tracks following are the originals created for the book launch.
